Definitely samling is going to harvest all the timber they can lay hands on & our YB Ballang did nothing about it ( no where to be seen ) all this years. No doubt there are now roads linking Bario & that i call them buffaloes roads as when Samling has done their part in harvesting the good quality logs & who are going to maintain the condition of the road. This is where timber tycoons used to do ie Eat & run type policy. The gov't is to be blamed for giving this timber concession to this parasites without thinking about the life of the people in Bario. Another thing after the deforestation in Bario , the weather has change tremoundously ie it is not as cool as before. I hope the YB will be doing something about it instead of sitting on his laurels doing nothing for the good of the people. Raymond, You are right about the whole thing .
